K-Prep has been a wonderful experience for both of my children. My daughter has been going to the school since she was two and currently goes daily for 4K as well as [K-Prep’s] regular 4's program. In addition, my son and daughter have truly enjoyed the themed summer program for the last few years. I have stayed with K-Prep because I feel the staff is always professional and the children follow a good curriculum. I did have the opportunity this year to switch to one of the Waukesha elementary schools for 4K, but I chose to stay with K-Prep. The elementary school did not give me any flexibility to have my daughter in school beyond the 2.5 hour 4K schedule. K-Prep enables me to have more options for my 4-year-old. For parents looking for a school atmosphere that goes much beyond the typical daycare, I would highly recommend K-Prep for your young child.

Four of my six children have all attended K-Prep Preschool and my older two would have had I known about the school back then. One of the big draws for my two boys was that they had a “non-potty-trained” classroom, where they could still attend school while working on potty-training. The five-hour block allows me the time I need to get the shopping, doctor appointments and big projects done. Now that before and after-care is available, I have greater flexibility with scheduling. Unlike day-care programs, the children can attend only a few days a week or every day and before and after-care hours can be flexible, too. The curriculum keeps the kids actively engaged in learning and makes time fly for them. They bring art projects home each week they are proud to display. My kids constantly talk about the fun they have at school.
The facilities are well planned, colorful, very clean and organized and provide an engaging environment for the kids. Our kids love the large Rainbow play structure outside and also many of the climbing and riding toys in the indoor playroom. The teachers are quick to alert parents if a child is sick and, unlike a typical daycare, children are only attending when healthy. The teachers establish camaraderie amongst the students and even the little one-year-old class enables the children to become friends and learn to cooperate with many different personalities.
I could go on and on about the excellent curriculum and facilities but the predominant reason I love this preschool is the compassionate teachers. These women love coming to work and, more importantly, love our children. Our children feel that love and reciprocate. Our sixth child was born with a chronic and possibly terminal heart condition. I did not think I would have the option of having her attend preschool due to the increased care she requires in monitoring her condition and in her feeding problems. Her two teachers threw themselves into the challenge and love our daughter through her challenges, never complaining about the increased care she requires. Her doctors and therapists were shocked to see her progression after just two months in preschool. She had progressed so rapidly in social, cognitive, fine and gross motor skills that she was released from the Birth-to-Three program. They would like to study the care given to her at K-Prep to see if it could be replicated for other chronically ill children so they could make similar progress. This preschool is the only place on earth I would ever leave this precious baby girl. Her teachers are as important to me as family and I continue to feel daily gratitude for the love they show to our baby.

My son has been attending Kindergarten Preparatory Preschool for four years. The teachers and the director are remarkable! We have always felt that they truly care about our son. They are very welcoming and have always been very accessible if we have had questions or concerns. Every one of his teachers has been excellent at accenting his strengths and has individually worked with him in the areas he has needed help. They have taught him how to be a part of a group, and the programs they offer are academically age appropriate. We strongly feel that his experience with Kindergarten Preparatory Preschool is going to give him a “head start” when he starts Kindergarten next year.
His baby brother has started in the one-year-old class and we are so excited for him to have the opportunity to be a part of the K-Prep "family" as well.

All three of our children have attended K-Prep. The foundation that K-Prep instilled helped make kindergarten an easy transition. They are very social outgoing children who excel in math and are reading at a full grade level above their current grade. We credit K-Prep teachers for their success.

My 3 ½ year old son has been attending K-Prep since he was 15 months old. He is so comfortable there and has learned so much! He is very social and loves being around his peers. In addition to the preschool curriculum, he is also learning about sharing, cleaning up, manners, proper behavior, respecting others, following directions, taking turns and much more. The teachers at K-Prep are wonderful and caring. The curriculum is fun, yet challenging enough to keep my son's interest. My son amazes me with all of the things he knows from school! I love how there is a theme each day and a project/book/activity/song to go with the theme. K-Prep has helped my son become more independent, respectful and responsible. I highly recommend K-Prep!

I am a stay-at-home mom of a three-year old daughter, Hailey. We recently moved to the Waukesha area and were really concerned about finding a preschool that met our expectations. The bar had been set high by the preschool she had been attending for a year in the city we moved from. Knowing no one in Waukesha, I started my search on-line and toured a number of different preschools in the area. After touring K-Prep, I was sold! I was so impressed at the time the director took with me and how she patiently answered all of my questions in detail. I had the opportunity to walk around and look at each of the classrooms and meet some of the teachers. I was impressed by the curriculum offered and the focus on hands-on-learning. K-Prep fit my need perfectly time-wise as well. We have lots of activities going on throughout the week and I was able to customize Hailey’s schedule at K-Prep. The hours and flexibility are great!
I was very excited for Hailey to start immediately at K-Prep, but I still was waiting to see if it was as good as it seemed. I needn’t have worried! K-Prep by far exceeds my high expectations and then some! The teachers are so dedicated and you can tell they love what they do. Hailey’s teacher is incredibly patient and appreciates both the good qualities that Hailey possesses as well as the more challenging ones. The progress reports sent home are a great way for me to see what areas Hailey is thriving in and where she needs more work at home. I am impressed by all of the projects done and just the material covered while she is there! Each day Hailey is at preschool I am able to read the board and see exactly what the class did throughout the day which is great. It is easy to see that Hailey is learning, growing, and overall benefiting greatly from her time at K-Prep.

When I drop Ben off at K-Prep I feel confident knowing that every smiling face I see is an advocate for my child’s social, emotional and educational development!
